Mohammad R. Butt, M.D., is a psychiatrist and is the Chief Medical Officer of Medical and Clinical Services at Edgewater, the community behavioral healthcare services serving Gary and the Northwest Indiana areas.

His area of concentration is, Specialty-Child & Adolescent Psychiatry delivery of care for the behavioral healthcare services, both as administrator, practitioner. He is a graduate of the Dow Medical College, combined Undergraduate & Medical School Program (Karaci-Pakistan) Doctor of Medicine (M.B.B.S). He completed his residency at Michael Reese Hospital/University of Chicago in Chicago, and is currently working at The Methodist Hospital as the Chief Medical Officer of the Behavioral Inpatient Unit.

The office is handicapped accessible with a wheelchair ramp at the front entrance with a private front and back entrance. The hours of operations are from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday.

As the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist the initial visit with the child and parent is comprehensive.  The focus of the session elicits information related to the child behavioral at home and at school, along with the family medical history.  Dr. Butt will require tests (i.e. EKG, WBC, CBS, etc.) to ensure appropriate medication is prescribed.
