Edgewater Health responded to a major need in our community and developed the Rapid Access Center (RAC). It is the only one of its kind in all of Indiana. The program provides immediate response to adult individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis that includes severe psychosis or depression, intrusive behaviors, and/or extreme thoughts of suicide or harm to others but are willing to voluntarily admit to this program.
If there is an immediate fear of death or injury, please call 911.
Any suicidal thought is a risk.

Withdrawing from drugs and alcohol is extremely uncomfortable and dangerous for your health. Edgewater’s detox/stabilization process to be as comfortable as possible with 24-hour nursing staff to ensure your health and well-being is a high priority. Utilizing medications that block the effects of opioids and represses thoughts of relapse strengthens the chances of sobriety.
Edgewater provides each client with quality care through a certified team of medical professionals. Our trained staff is there for each client every step of the way. We do our absolute best to keep each client as comfortable as possible while they are dealing with withdrawal symptoms.
Edgewater Medically supervised inpatient services are appropriate for persons who are intoxicated by alcohol and/or substances, who are suffering from mild to moderate withdrawal, coupled with situational crisis, or who are unable to abstain with an absence of past withdrawal complications. Patients who have stabilized in a medically managed detoxification service may step- down to medically supervised inpatient or outpatient services.
